What's for merienda?: DIY Tuna Salad

My aunts from GenSan sent my parents "fresh" frozen tunas and my mom sent me some. My dilemma is I really don't know what to do with it other than grill it and cook it as adobo. I was inspired by this recipe, Asian Tuna Salad, to create my own Tuna Salad. So for yesterday, I was on the healthy diet. :)

Recipe:

Salad ingredients:
Fresh tuna meat
Ginger
Salt & pepper to taste
Red leaf lettuce
Carrots, thinly sliced
Cucumber, thinly sliced

Salad dressing ingredients:
3 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tbsp Sesame oil
2 tbsp White vinegar

Directions:
Cook tuna meat by boiling it in water with ginger and salt to taste. You can also use canned tuna in water to eliminate cooking. Once cooked, drain tuna and place on a plate. Get 2 forks and separate the tuna into small pieces. Add salt and pepper on tuna, mix well.

Get your tuna, lettuce, carrots and cucumber and toss them together. Combine your salad dressing ingredients as well. Sesame oil will give the dressing some sweetness. If you want your dressing a bit more sweet, then add a bit of sugar. Again, mix your dressing well, you don't want to taste sugar granules on your salad.

Pour your dressing onto your salad enough to cover all of them but not too much to make the lettuce soggy.

Enjoy!
